Do you Enjoy Life?

August has come and is nearing the beginning of School, Football Games, Harvest its such a busy time - but then when is life not busy?  At times I need to just be home, but I can't stay there always, there is too much to do.  I've thought some this summer about "life" and my journey through it.  Do I enjoy life?  I know the Bible tells us that we can have "abundant life" in Christ.  I often wondered if this just ment "busy life" that could be stressful at times.  But I think we are to Enjoy Life, even embrase the busy times.  I have to remind myself of that from time to time.  It is possible to enjoy life and enjoy the busyness.  I think its more of a mindset as we walk with Christ through life.  Satan is good at fogging our vision with "stuff" and "busyness". But with Christ we can enjoy the season of life we are in for it will change quickly, and if we spend too much time being stressed out we'll miss out on the Joys and Blessings of each season of life.

Thoughts

I am so thankful that Brian shares his thoughts while on the journey with Josh. I often think that Lance & I's journey this year pales in comparison and I don't think it necessary to bring it up - it seems petty when there are those fighting to hold on to life and we're excited about new life.

Then I remember one of the things that kept me focused through others doubts that what we were doing was right in God's eyes: God is the only one who gives Life. I find that "life"is the similarity in so many journey's.

As much as I didn't enjoy having a "tubal" - I look back on it now and see it was confirmation that God is in control. Loosing the only tube I had makes us permanently "fixed". (I can't help but chuckle at that thought). I believe God told us we would have more children (years before we began our IVF journey). Without any tubes - how is this physically possible? We had already begun down that road. It's like God said yes - this is the way continue on and I will give life and sustain it.

How Great is our God! The giver and sustainer of Life.

Blonde Vs Audi

In case anyone was wondering...you can be locked out of an Audi with the keys inside the car. Only a blonde is smart enough to out-witt an Audi in such a way as this!

Happy New Year

Well God's got the ball rolling now......We close on our new home next month. We are already working on a few home improvement projects before we move. Lance isn't a fan of those so luckily there are those professionals who are willing to charge you money to perform the services. It will cost a little out of our pockets, but save a lot on our marriage I'm sure. Lance and I are headed to Atlantis for a few days of relaxation courtesy of DuPont/Pioneer. It will be nice to spend a little time focusing on each other and having fun. Of course we'll miss Sofia, but she will enjoy a few days with Oma and Opa.

Its been a busy last few weeks as we round the corner to Thanksgiving. I've been home a bit more this week and I always seem to need that in order to get charged up.
An update on some property that Lance and I have been seeking the Lord's will on: We have a contract in hand, but are negotiating a close date. I need to get to the bank and get some financing started! It's all very exciting to think we may actually own our own place! Please be in prayer for us that it will be a smooth transition and all financing/contract stuff will fall in to place.
In the mean time...Sofia is great. I'm having so much fun with her right now! We enjoy tea time together after naps and she loves playing with dad at night! He's been driving truck in the evenings and weekends for harvest so the few nights they've had together its been fun to see her excitement as she plays with him. She constantly asks for him and Lance can't wait till she's a bit older so she can go with him.

Alaska 2008

Kayla, Sofia and Isaac all crashed on Oma and Opa's bed while we were out the last night on the Cruise. So cute. Oma and Opa loved watching them!

My favorite trip this summer was to Alaska. My sisters and I went Kayaking. It was overcast and a little drizzle here and there - but as you can see - it was beautiful! It was an incredible experience!
